TruDose PRP for Hair Loss
TruDOSE™ – The Accurate PRP Hair Loss Solution
Hair loss can be upsetting, especially when it begins at a young age. In men, male pattern baldness is not unusual and can come about quickly. Many men find it embarrassing and somewhat distressing. They then turn to off-the-shelf hair restoring products which invariably disappoint.
There is a technique that helps with hair loss. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy was devised for other uses – primarily in viral protection and illnesses in which cells need boosting and regenerating – and has been found to be a useful and successful method of encouraging new hair growth.
In the article that follows we will explain what PRP involves, how it works and why, and talk about the revolutionary TruDOSE™ Regenerative Technology which as taken success rates to another level. Let us begin with a basic explanation of PRP. help with many different types of injuries, musculoskeletal issues and mobility problems.
What Is PRP and How Does it Work?
Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy involves the extraction of blood from the patient. A doctor will take blood in the usual way, with a surgical syringe. Before we explain the process, we need to explain what your blood consists of.
Blood is made up of red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets. Platelets are small components that play a great part in healing and regeneration. Each component of the blood plays its part in our health, and they are usually present in a ration of around 55% plasma, 44% red blood cells, and 1% white blood cells and platelets.
Now let’s explain the PRP process. As the patient, you will be attended by a doctor who will remove a set amount of your blood. This sample is then put into a machine that uses centrifugal force to separate the platelets from the blood cells. These platelets can then be re-injected into the area that needs treatment, which in this case is the scalp.
What happens now? What the procedure has done is change the ratio of platelets in the blood. There are now many more than usual. So, the extra platelets – which we know are involved in healing and regeneration – encourage the hair to grow. Most patients will need more than one injection over time, and it does take several months for results to show.
Does PRP Work for Hair Loss?
How can you be sure it works? There has been plenty of research into PRP therapy for hair loss and other problems. For example, a study in 2019 was carried out using a group of 40 volunteers. 20 were given regular PRP injections over 6 month, the other 20 using popular over-the-counter hair loss treatment Rogaine, which is a brand of a product called minoxidil.
The results were notably better in the PRP control group. Researchers have concluded that PRP contains proteins that are helpful in encouraging cell growth, hence its success as a hair restoring procedure. However, while entirely safe – it uses your own blood – there were problems with PRP, so let’s see what the main concern has been and how it has been overcome with the introduction of TruDOSE™ Regenerative Technology.
Problems with PRP
We now know that PRP is a non-surgical procedure carried out using simple injections, much in the way of many other cosmetic procedures, Botox for example. The problem comes in getting the exact amount of platelets to do the job. Too much PRP, or too little, will not have the desired effect. Our bodies are complex and individual, and what works for one will not always work for another.
In 2017, scientists working on PRP research at a company called Bridging Biosciences came up with the TruDOSE™ Regenerative Technology. This is an artificial intelligence software system that accurately determines the precise amount of PRP for each specific patient based on their individual condition. TruDOSE™ Regenerative Technology has demonstrated 95% accuracy in hair loss PRP treatment, thus eliminating the dosage inaccuracy problem.
Let’s look more closely at TruDOSE™ Regenerative Technology and compare itssuccess rate with other methods of hair restoring.
